Announced
at the 2002 NBAA show, the Gulfstream 300 is a 6,600km range 25.5 million
dollar aircraft. Featuring the fuselage, wings and Tay 611-8 engines of
the Gulfstream 4 It is a shorter range, reduced specification version costing
26m usd and was aimed at providing competition for the Challenger 604 and
Falcon 2000EX. However, production of this model was short lived
with few built, the press suggesting that the aircraft was taking business
away from Gulfstreams own more expensive models although Gulfstream denied
this. It is externally identical to the G400. |

G350

Announced
in February 2004, the Gulfstream 350 combines the fuselage of the
Gulfstream 450 with the cockpit of the Gulfstream 550 giving a 7000km range,
about 1,000km less than the G450. Powered by Rolls Royce Tay 611-8C
engines this model is intended to compete better in the Falcon 2000EX/CL604
large cabin, mid range sector. Having a lower specification (less
avionics etc), a shorter range and being cheaper (27.5m usd) the G350 is
intended to be a lesser partner to the G450. It replaced the Gulfstream
400 in production and entered service in late 2005. |
