A VIP version of the BAe146-100 commercial airliner, originally manufactured by British Aerospace at Hatfield, about 20 miles from Northolt.  It is powered by four Avco-Lycoming ALF502 engines and is noted for it's exceptional short field performance.

ZE702 BAe146-CC2 E1124 Ex Benson 03/95 sold as G-CBXY, registered as such November 2002 to 'Tronos PLC'. Departed Northolt 1450hrs 25/11/02 to Southend.  Later sold to an Indonesian company.

These aircraft feature interchangable interiors for easy conversion from pax to VIP. The wings are painted allover red as per the Ba125's.
 
The aircraft were operated in the striking VIP colour scheme which remained standard until late 2004 when ZE701 was repainted into a new, standard scheme (see above) (ML) Before the Ba146-CC2s were acquired by the Queens Flight two aircraft were used by the RAF at Brize Norton to assess the type and they were often seen at Northolt.  One, ZD696 is pictured here (MS)
