These
aircraft were delivered in the overall white scheme with blue cheat line,
which was later replaced by the light grey 'plasticised paint' scheme which
was applied by Lovaux at Bournemouth. The exception to this was ZD620
which appears to have acted as the guinea pig, having been repainted two
years earlier than the others at Oxford. On merging with the Queen's
Flight several 125's have been repainted into 'Royal' colours of white
with a red tail and wings and blue cheat line. The first aircraft to be
painted as such was ZE395 which arrived in the new scheme 26th May 1995
using callsign 'RRR730'. These aircraft have recently been undergoing servicing
and modifications at Chester, taking around six months per aircraft. A
press release on this work can be seen at http://www.raytheon.com/rac/press/062398a.htm
In 2004/5 the aircraft were repainted once again, this time into a white scheme with a thin red cheatline bordered by blue, plus the union jack on the tail. < ZD621 (ML) |
